About the University Club of Claremont

History

The University Club of Claremont celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2024! While our club has changed greatly over the past century, its original goals are largely the same: to promote friendship, intellectual curiosity, and education in the Claremont area. The club started in 1924 as a group of mostly Pomona College professors. We are currently an association of university and college graduates and others who share the goals of learning, social connections, and philanthropy.
