The University Club of Claremont

The University Club of Claremont was organized in 1924, in Claremont, California under the leadership of Pomona College faculty, with Dr. George Sumner as its first president. The University Club is an association of university and college graduates, professional people and community leaders seeking to:

The Club attempts to provide intellectually stimulating, informative, or entertaining programs each week, except for Christmas and New Year’s weeks and the month of August.

The Club meets on Tuesdays from 11:30 AM to l:30 PM in the Padua Room of the Hughes Communify Center, 1700 Danbury Road, Claremont and provides a catered buffet or desert and coffee at a nominal cost.

The program usually begins at 12:30 PM and is open to members and visitors at no cost.

Applications for membership are available at the cashiers table on Tuesdays. There is a $10 application fee and dues are $60 per year.
